What sparked your love of vintage?

It’s been forever - no spark! Antiques, vintage and anything with a story is what I’ve always been drawn to. The quality is unbeatable, the craftsmanship, the elements that have stood the test of time.

What’s one wardrobe piece you’ll have forever?

I have been asked this many times, and my answer is always the same - I have a Jean Paul Gaultier blazer I picked up years ago that I will never part with.

What’s the best vintage find you’ve ever had?

Would probably be the Jean Paul Gaultier blazer overall, but I have a wonderful collection of vintage gold jewellery - I wouldn’t be able to nominate just one as the best find, they’re all the best!

Is there an item you’re currently looking for?

I’m currently coveting an insanely large and obnoxious pinky ring.

What era do you find yourself drawn back to again and again?

Probably the Victorian Era. I think the manner in which one dressed and the spectacle or performance of getting dressed is what I’m drawn to. People were far more put together, and the act of dressing wasn’t simply just to get dressed.

If you could only source vintage or pre-loved from one place, where would that be?

Tough question - probably auction houses. Perhaps Webb’s in Auckland. I love that you never know what is going to become available. It’s that unknowing when you’re looking through a catalogue that’s super exciting. I love the hunt!

What’s something you’ve seen, heard, or read recently that’s inspired you?

Dracula (2025). The costumes are impeccable. But what I love most is as the story follows Dracula’s search for his lost love, we see multiple eras of dress that span over 400 years.
